Project Overview

Ciguapa Grove is a survival horror project inspired by the Dominican legend of the Ciguapa.

Rather than using the legend as a quick monster reference, I am building an original world around her, including character behavior, movement, the environment she belongs in, and the way the player learns to fear her.

Status: In development.

MY ROLE

I am the creator and lead artist. I developed the story direction, creature design, visual references, character variations, and the production plan for bringing the project into Unreal Engine through Character Creator, Maya, and animation tools.

SKILLS THIS PROJECT SHOWS

This project brings together Unreal Engine, Character Creator, iClone, animation, virtual camera work, lighting, editing, and visual storytelling. It also shows that I can use technical tools without letting the final piece feel like a software test.

IMPACT AND OUTCOME

The finished short gave me a cinematic project that clearly represents where I want my portfolio to go. It also proved that I can take an idea through several programs and finish it as one complete piece instead of ending with a collection of disconnected shots.
